The winch the strap winds onto. Bolt or weld the fixed body to the trailer rail, or run the sliding body in winch track so it can be moved to suit the load. Either way it holds up to 24 feet of 4 inch winch strap and carries a 5,500 lb working load limit.
Sliding is worth the extra if your loads change shape week to week — you slide the winch to where the strap needs to land instead of throwing the strap at an angle to reach a fixed one.

Which winch?
All four carry the same 5,500 lb working load limit and take the same winch straps and the same winch bar. What separates them is how much strap they will take up and how they mount.

A sliding winch only slides in Kinedyne winch track, and only the 3820 and 5820 sliding bodies fit it. Everything else bolts or welds to the trailer.
