A connecting link joins chain to fitting, or chain to chain, without welding. It takes apart again with hand tools when you need to rebuild or repair the sling.
Lok-A-Loy 10 takes apart and goes back together with no special tools, which is what makes it the link to reach for when you are repairing a sling rather than building one.
