Crane Rope
Eight strands laid around a core, in regular lay, normally built as either 19 Seale or 25 Filler Wire. The size relationship between the strands and the core is what gives an 8×19 more bendability than a six-strand rope of the same diameter.
It carries more crushing resistance and a higher minimum breaking force than a 19×7, but less rotation resistance. Use it in multi-part reeving where limited rotation resistance is what the job calls for — not where a single part is lifting a load free on the hook.
