Crane Rope
Flex-X 6 is a compacted six-strand rope, and customers who move to it generally get more service life out of it than out of whatever they were running before.
Set against a conventional six-strand rope of the same diameter, Flex-X 6 puts more steel in the section and presents far more surface area where the rope meets steel. That raises both stability and strength, and it means less wear on your sheaves and drums as well as on the rope.
The compacted section also changes what happens on the drum. It reduces scrubbing between the lead line and the previous wrap — the contact is smoother, so there is less interference, less metal loss and less wire deformation than a standard 6×26 Warrington Seale gives you.
