Galvanized Aircraft Cable
7×19 cable is seven strands of nineteen wires. The wires are smaller and there are far more of them than in a 7×7, which makes the cable noticeably more flexible at the same diameter — it bends around a small sheave and takes repeated cycling without fatiguing as quickly.
It is the best all-around aircraft cable for most work: winches, control cables, running rigging, perimeter barriers and guardrail. Below 3/32 in., use 7×7.
Features
- Conforms to U.S. Federal Specification RR-W-410H
- Commonly used on small diameter pulleys, running rigging on sailboats, perimeter barriers, winches and control cables. 7x19 is the best all around cable for most applications.
- Zinc (galvanized) coated steel cable is the most common type of cable. It offers moderate corrosion resistance, and remains ductile over long periods when running over sheaves. Galvanized cable is stronger than stainless steel cable.
- Can be cut in custom lengths from 1 ft to 5,000 ft
