Crane Rope
A Category 2 rotation resistant rope built from nineteen strands. Six are laid around a core strand in one direction, then twelve more are laid over those in the opposite direction. Put the rope under tension and the two layers pull against each other — those opposing forces are what stop a free load from spinning on the hook.
The rope we stock is compacted and swaged after laying, and sold as Flex-X 19. Compacting buys more crushing resistance than a standard 19×7, a higher strength-to-diameter ratio, better resistance to bending fatigue and less wear on sheaves and drums.
It is the rope for multipart hoist lines wherever you are fighting spooling problems, drum crushing, block twisting or fast line speeds, and its fatigue resistance is what keeps it on the machine longer than the rope it replaced.
